Float-tastic

As you may or may not know I have not been able to watch the parade as I have been in it for the past 5 years. Needless to say it was a treat to see all the lights and kids! I have tallied my votes: best school: float Prince Charles followed closely by Simonds High, Best lights: Saint John Energy, Best mini float: Splash, best in show: the grinch and of course the highlight of the night: our very own Saint John Firefighters who escorted Santa. The weather for the parade was better then ideal, nice and warm for the kiddies (I dont think it dropped below zero). Approx 40 thousand Saint Johners came out to try and catch some Christmas spirit. I know I got some!

Tidbit: remember this holiday season it is illegal to dig into the second layer of chocolates before the first layer is gone!!!!!!

Well, it's official; Christmas season is here! The Santa Claus Parade is always a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and start the countdown to Christmas.....33days! It is also a reminder that there are only 32 more days to finish up Christmas shopping..........

Those Tims are especially good with a smash of Baileys which I intend on doing this Saturday night at the KV valley ho ho parade.
